Ingredients:
1 1/2 sticks ( 12 Tablespoons ) Butter
2 1/4 cup light brown sugar
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
pinch of salt
3/4 cups chopped pecans
2 large eggs
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup toffee pieces
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Spray an 8 inch square baking pan with cooking spray and line bottom and sides with foil. Spray foil.
1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat; add brown sugar and stir until melted. Let cool 5 minutes.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and salt.
3. Into the cooled melted butter, stir in eggs, one at a time; then stir in vanilla.
4. Add flour mixture and stir until combined.
5. Fold in toffee bits.
6. Spread batter in the prepared pan.
7. Bake until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean, about 45 minutes.
8. Let cool 15 minutes, lift out of pan and cool.
9. Cut into bars.
Yield: 16-20 bars
